PTC Industries’ Aerolloy Subsidiary Signs Safran Development Order and Long-Term Production MOU (NSE: PTCIL)
On 14 October 2026, PTC Industries (NSE: PTCIL, BSE: 539006) disclosed that its wholly owned subsidiary Aerolloy Technologies had received a development order from Safran Aircraft Engines for critical titanium cast components (fully machined, ready-to-fit) for the LEAP engine programme. The same BSE filing states that the two parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding establishing “a commercial framework for long-term serial production after successful development and qualification.”
That Safran order is the latest in a string of defence and aerospace contract announcements that PTC Industries has made through the second half of 2026, a period in which it also raised ₹1,800 crore through a qualified institutions placement and published a quarterly result showing revenue nearly doubling year-on-year.
The orders that built the pattern
The company began disclosing a series of new engineering and supply mandates from July 2026 onward:
- 17 July 2026 – a “landmark order from BrahMos Aerospace for the development, integration and supply of a mission-critical structural assembly (a missile sub-system) for the BrahMos programme,” which the filing describes as the company’s first major order in systems-level integration (BSE filing, 17 Jul 2026).
- 23 July 2026 – a design and development order from Armament Research & Development Establishment (ARDE), a DRDO laboratory, for a Titanium Cradle for the 105mm Indian Light Weight Tank. The filing notes the work involves “designing, developing, and manufacturing the component, moving beyond traditional build-to-print manufacturing” (BSE filing, 23 Jul 2026).
- 24 July 2026 – a development order from Gun Factory Kanpur (Advanced Weapons and Equipment India Limited) for two major artillery gun components. The filing states the order covers engineering development, manufacturing, and validation over nine months; the order value was not disclosed “due to strategic confidentiality” (BSE filing, 24 Jul 2026).
- 6 August 2026 – PTC Industries’ subsidiary Aerolloy Technologies entered into “an agreement with Airbus for the development, qualification, and supply of titanium castings in a ready-to-fit condition for the A320neo, A330neo, and A350 aircraft programmes” (BSE filing, 6 Aug 2026).
- 13 October 2026 – an order from Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL). The announcement did not disclose the contract value or scope of work (BSE filing, 13 Oct 2026).
- 14 October 2026 – the Safran development order and long-term production-framework MOU described above (BSE filing, 14 Oct 2026).
The ₹1,800 crore fundraise and expanded balance-sheet headroom
Before the order announcements picked up, the board approved an enabling resolution on 27 June 2026 to raise up to ₹1,800 crore through a QIP, preferential issue, or convertible warrants (BSE filing, 27 Jun 2026). At the same meeting, the board raised the company’s borrowing limits from ₹350 crore to ₹600 crore and increased the limit for loans, guarantees, and investments to ₹2,000 crore, subject to shareholder approval.
The QIP was completed on 9 October 2026. The filing shows 8,54,700 equity shares were allotted at ₹21,060 per share, raising a total of ₹1,800 crore (₹1,799.99 crore). A corrigendum filed on 10 October 2026 corrected an earlier typographical error that had overstated the aggregate issue amount as ₹17,999 crore (BSE filings, 9 and 10 Oct 2026).
Q1FY27 financials: a jump in scale
On 17 August 2026, PTC Industries reported its unaudited consolidated results for Q1FY27 (BSE filing, 17 Aug 2026). The numbers:
- Revenue: ₹191.8 crore, up 97.4% year-on-year.
- EBITDA: ₹54.21 crore, up 180.2% year-on-year.
- Profit after tax: ₹29.19 crore, up 465.7% year-on-year.
The filing noted that the trajectory “inflected sharply upward as Aerolloy scaled and group margins expanded.”
What the filings say will happen next
The Safran MOU explicitly starts with a development and qualification phase; serial production follows only “after successful development and qualification.” Similarly, the Airbus agreement frames the sequence as development, qualification, and then supply. None of the filings state a date by which those phases will be completed.
